Kaeng Krachan Dam

The Kaeng Krachan Dam is a multi-purpose hydroelectric dam in the Kaeng Krachan District of Phetchaburi Province, Thailand.  The dam impounds the Phetchaburi River.  It was officially opened in 1966 by King Bhumibol and Queen Sirikit.

Kaeng Krachan Dam where there are plenty of water activities such as cruising along the reservoir or fishing. With the large area of forests, camping and trekking are also popular activities here. The highest peak called Panerntung where is the spot of the most picturesque scene which is the sea of fog during rainy and winter season. Visitors can enjoy seeing rare birds and millions of butterflies during the summer time.
Opening hours: 6am-6pm
Admission: 200 baht for adults, and 100 baht for children
Accommodations: The park provides bungalows and tents for rent.
