From the 1st of October in Hua Hin was opened a new parking facility with seven floors intended for parking 350 cars and motorcycles, also this parking equiped with elevator access. The parking opening which was headed by the mayor of the city, Khun Jira Phongphaiboon, with the budget of 63 million THB.

Creating of more parking places was a necessary measure for landscaping the city and making it more friendly for tourists and comfortable for locals community.

The parking problem was always existent issue of modern cities and Hua Hin is not an exception. Each year the number of cars circulating on the city roads increasing in a geometric progression, especially it is visible during holidays and weekends. For people from such overcrowded cities as Bangkok or Pattaya, Hua Hin become a real piece of paradise – silent fishing village with endless seashores, magnificent views and cozy atmosphere of local streets. As a result of visitors attraction the parking problem took place on the HuaHin roads.

The facility of new parking convenient for visitors to the municipality offices but also to ease traffic congestion on Phetchakasem and Damnuan Kasem Road. Parking is free with security guards on site. The Mayor says this is a major achievement by his management team and will improve the City’s tourism infrastructure.

Unfortunately, the public has another opinion about the parking opening, as its’ working hours from 8.30 AM until 4.30 PM, from Monday to Friday, so in fact it is not really a solution as when the parking places are needed they are not available.
